This webinar will reveal the results from the largest independent research project in data protection, surveying 4,200 unbiased organizations from 28 countries around the world. In the past, this research has focused on enterprises, but this year, small and midsized organizations were added to provide an even more comprehensive view into how data protection strategies are evolving in 2023 and beyond.

Dave Russell is a 32-year veteran in the storage industry, serving as Veeam's Vice President of Enterprise Strategy, responsible for driving strategic product and go-to-market programs, spearheading industry engagement and evangelizing Veeam’s vision for Modern Data Protection. Prior to Veeam, he held the role of Vice President and distinguished analyst at Gartner for 13 years and spent 15 years at IBM in product development for mainframe and open systems backup/recovery.

Jason Buffington (@JBuff) is a Vice President within the Product Strategy team at Veeam. He has been in the data protection industry for over 30 years, working on a variety of backup, replication/failover, and BC/DR solutions within data protection vendors and Microsoft. Prior to joining Veeam, Jason was the Principal Analyst at the Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) covering the myriad data protection vendors and providers in the IT industry. Outside of IT, Jason is an active volunteer leader in Scouting BSA.
At Veeam, Jason focuses accelerating the success of enterprise customers through Veeam's key alliance partnerships, as well as strategic special projects, evangelizing thought leadership at key industry events, and communicating Veeam’s long-term vision and strategy.
