FAQ

What are the best practices for RHV backup?
As you begin to adopt new Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) infrastructure, its data and VMs will need to be protected in order to be prepared for DR and to maintain compliance. To ensure that all VMs and their data are protected, Red Hat provides its own backup interface in which you can generate snapshot or file-level backup of RHV VMs to the backup storage of your choice. The key is to take advantage of a data protection solution that provides native integration with this process and RHV’s use of Red Hat CBT to ensure that only new unique changes are protected, reducing the backup time and impact on your storage.
Which Red Hat Virtualization platforms are supported by Veeam?
Veeam Backup & Replication v11a now adds support for Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) 4.4. Please check with the platform vendor for the appropriate supported version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux for RHV.
What does Veeam offer for KVM backup?
Veeam Backup & Replication v11a now offers reliable integrated backup for Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) so that customers running KVMs can be prepared for both common and disaster recovery scenarios. With fast snapshot recovery for RHV VMs, Veeam customers can meet recovery objectives with confidence using the solution that is flexible for their needs and natively integrated with Red Hat Virtualization.
