We are happy to announce that we are now launching a new podcast! The Veeam Community Podcast is a new way to interact with the virtualization community. The podcast will focus on the many aspects of the virtualization community, and not entirely focused on Veeam.

We have been in a stealth mode during the soft launch of the podcast. The podcast is hosted on Podbean and is available via RSS feed subscription and iTunes.

There are five episodes online right now, with more queued up! Here is a rundown of the first five episodes of the podcast:

Episode 5 - Saving time with virtualization: In this episode, host Rick Vanover welcomes Doug Carson and Stan Brinkerhoff to talk about time savings on virtualization platform topics such as clones and templates. Additional conversation points are raised about blade servers and their power savings as well as management capabilities.

Episode 4 - Events and certifications for VMware admins: In this episode, Rick Vanover hosts with David Davis to talk about a number of VMware events and certification opportunities. David writes the VMwareVideos.com blog and also works for TrainSignal. TrainSignal is a provider of computer-based "Total Experience" training that gives individuals the tools and confidence to tackle real-world challenges, pass their certification exam and succeed in today’s competitive global IT market.

Episode 3 - Give me some free stuff! In this episode, Rick Vanover is joined by technology critic Jason Perlow. Jason is the author of the Tech Broiler blog, writes a personal blog at Off The Broiler. Jason and Rick talk about free tools in virtualization and how they are a great way to round out an overall virtualization strategy.

Episode 2 - VMdamentals shootout! In this episode, Rick Vanover (on Twitter @RickVanover) is joined by Erik Zandboer (on Twitter @ErikZandboer) from VMdamentals.com. Erik is a Netherlands-based blogger who recently did a number of comparative blog posts.
