This blog explains five essential security, compliance and availability capabilities built into Office 365. Data Security Solutions: How to Protect, Detect, and Recover with Confidence

Data security is easy on a conceptual level: Protect your data while maintaining availability. This means protecting your data from malicious outside forces and restricting access to that data based on user roles. To limit the potential damage of authorized and unauthorized people, organizations should look at using a layered approach. This is the only way to ensure optimal data security. Locking down a network is equally as important as educating your users and encrypting data. Read more

Preventive maintenance

If you own a car, you already know the concept of preventive maintenance: change oil and filters regularly and the likelihood of your engine failure will dramatically decrease. Your engine is still fine, there aren’t any weird noises and it operates as it should, but you still plan on doing some maintenance because otherwise the costs of replacing a broken engine or gearbox will be much higher.
