VeeamON 2020: Free, Fun and Fresh

VeeamON 2020 is this week and just because it is going to be a different experience this year doesn’t mean you can’t get the most out of the virtual event. We have been working hard to bring this event to you for the best experience possible. In this blog post, I’ll give you the rundown you need and show you how you can attend for free.

VeeamON 2020 is structured into three broadcasts across two days for the Americas, EMEA and APJ. Each of them will have a full docket of content in the following formats:

The general sessions are a great starting place for both a corporate update and information on our products. The Wednesday session will allow you to hear from Veeam CEO, Bill Largent and CMO, Jim Kruger. The session on Thursday will be one that you don’t want to miss as it will include some previews of new capabilities for Veeam products with CTO, Danny Allan, Senior Vice President of Product Management, Anton Gostev as well as Melissa Palmer and Michael Cade from the Product Strategy team. I recently did a YouTube video where I overviewed VeeamON 2020, you can watch that below:

We have also incorporated demos into the event, you will see some of our SEs and architects highlight some of the capabilities in Veeam products. Some of the ones that caught my eye are showing the new backup mode enhancements, setting up the capacity tier and showing how to use sealed mode for the Scale-out Backup Repository.

An area that has been special to me is the breakout. This is where attendees will spend most of their time and I am sure that everyone will learn a lot about the existing versions of Veeam products. Everything from best practices (and worst practices!), advanced configuration and use cases are covered in these sessions. There is a good spread across other products as well.

The VeeamathON is a new experience this year, as I am sure many of you have seen. This new offering will showcase our technical support staff’s skills with advanced configurations and technical diagnostics of Veeam products. These sessions are live and interactive, allowing you the chance to not only experience but be a part of the experience in a way not previously exhibited at VeeamON before.

Support engineers will take you to a behind-the-scenes look at top scenarios they have seen in the field and break down these challenges with industry standard diagnostic tools through live demonstrations. In addition, you’ll learn how to implement advanced configurations with proper insight into key infrastructure considerations. Some of our highlight sessions this year will include:

Don’t miss out on seeing your support team in action. It wouldn’t be a VeeamON without a key social element and we are happy to close the event with an exclusive concert featuring Keith Urban! This will be a great way to end the event with a fun occasion in this new format.

Does this appeal to you? If so, you can sign up now for free. You can also enjoy new content that will be made available after the event throughout the summer from Veeam partners, users and more technical content. See you at VeeamON 2020!
