Conflict with SCOM/antivirus software

Challenge

After installation, no nworks discoveries take place within 5 hours. Operations Manager Event Log does not show events 999, 1010, 1012, 1011.

Cause

Antivirus software can prevent the agent from working properly.

Solution

Check the following:
  • The nworks Collector is collecting and sending data with no issues.

  • The agent has been configured properly as described in the nworks Installation Guide.

  • The agent (Operations Manager Event Log) is showing no performance or availability errors.

  • The installation of nworks was completed more than 4 hours ago.

If no nworks data arrive from the agent, though you have verified everything mentioned above, check the antivirus activity.
