This article describes the correct options that must be selected when configuring an Azure Storage Account to leverage the Veeam Backup & Replication Azure Immutability feature, available starting with Veeam Backup & Replication 12.
Solution
Immutability Requires a New Storage Account Container
Immutability can only be used with new storage account containers and cannot be used with existing backup data where immutability was not applied previously.
Make sure that the Azure Blob storage settings meet the following requirements:

Immutability will make your data impossible to delete aside from the termination of the associated Azure subscription due to failure to pay.
