Hardware Settings:
- All QuantaStor 5 configurations are supported but systems must meet minimum specifications of 8x or more data devices, 64GB of RAM, and at least 10x 2GHz processor cores or faster CPUs per server.
- RAM cache used for reads is called ARC, QuantaStor uses OpenZFS technology which is integrated into the SDS platform.
- SMB protocol used for all testing, and SMB write-through mode is enabled by default. QuantaStor also supports FC, iSCSI, NFS and S3 Object.
- ‘Disk Archive’ Storage Profile was used, Record Size was adjusted to 1M per Veeam recommendations.
