What’s New

Veeam Data Cloud now includes two new top-level views within the unified interface: the Org Dashboard and the Activity view. These additions provide administrators with comprehensive, role-based visibility into protection status, backup history, and platform activity across multiple workloads.

Org Dashboard:

• Offers a centralized overview of protection status and backup history across supported workloads, currently including Microsoft Entra ID and Salesforce.
• Displays the number of protected objects per workload, with breakdowns by object type.
• Highlights the last 7 days of backup activity, segmented by object protection and session status.
• Includes filter controls for quick review and investigation by workload.
• Access is RBAC-controlled, limited to organization and workload administrator roles (with support for custom roles).

Activity View:

• Unifies monitoring of protection activity, configuration changes, and access events across Microsoft Entra ID, Salesforce, and general Veeam Data Cloud system events.
• Details completed and in-progress backup sessions, as well as audit logs for logins, user and tenant creation, and role changes.
• Access is also RBAC-controlled and available to organization and workload administrator roles, with custom role support.

Why This Matters

These new global views simplify oversight for administrators, making it easier to monitor data protection coverage, backup activity, and platform events across multiple workloads. Centralized dashboards and filtering enable more efficient investigation, monitoring, and auditing – supporting operational efficiency, compliance, and improved security across the organization.

What’s Next

Both views will see ongoing improvements to further enhance oversight and usability. Planned updates for the Org Dashboard include adding restore history, expanding time filter options, and supporting additional workloads. For the Activity view, upcoming enhancements will introduce export capabilities as well as expanded tracking for protection management, data access, and restore events. These updates are designed to provide administrators with deeper insights and more unified management across the Veeam Data Cloud platform.
