July 15, 2020, Veeam had the pleasure to present its Cloud Data Management vision to the Cloud Field Day delegates. This event was a little different being a virtual event. Typically, Cloud Field Day is presented to a room full of extremely technical delegates, but this time we did it a little different. For this event, Veeam brought together David Hill, Anthony Spiteri and Michael Cade, three key members of the product strategy team managed by Danny Allan, Veeam’s Chief Technology Officer.
Throughout this event, Veeam showcased its innovation in the Cloud Data Management space through key technologies, including Veeam Backup for AWS, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365, and how Veeam Cloud Service Providers are setting the bar for managed service capabilities. This time around, Anthony Spiteri opened the event by talking about how Veeam has achieved over $1 billion in revenue and the recent acquisition by Insight Partners for $5 billion.
After Anthony fielded some early data management questions, up next was David Hill, showcasing Veeam Backup for AWS and Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure, and the integration with Veeam Backup & Replication. David even gave a sneak peek into the upcoming, native AWS integration into Veeam Backup & Replication.
Michael was next, going over Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 and showcasing version 5. During the session, Michael showed how customers can use this product to protect and restore Microsoft Teams, as well as other products in the Microsoft Office 365 product suite.
Closing out the session, Anthony talked about Veeam Cloud Service Providers, his favorite focus area, showcasing how Service Providers can leverage Veeam APIs with custom code.
It was another great Cloud Field Day event, with Veeam showing time and again why they are the leaders in the Cloud Data Management space.
