When it comes to cloud, the changes are just as dynamic.

Research tells us that 81% of enterprises are embracing a multi-cloud strategy with a mix of solutions across private, public, and hybrid clouds – across multiple providers1. With this big move to multi-cloud, the next question is How can businesses ensure their apps and data are available across the new multi-cloud models they are adopting? Before that question is addressed, ... Read more

Cluster Group Start Ordering on Windows Server 2016

When Windows Server 2016 was released, Microsoft brought us a new feature I personally have been waiting for since I first started with Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2. That feature is Virtual Machine Start Ordering. Virtual Machine Start Ordering enables us to make dependencies between VMs or Groups of VMs to make sure that they start in the correct order. How to avoid vSAN compatibility issues and be sure your SureBackup is a success

Hello from Veeam Support!

Recently, a customer contacted us with the very curious case. The SureBackup job was failing with the generic error message during snapshot creation phase: “The specified feature is not supported by this version.” There were several VMs included in the SureBackup job, but only one specific VM failed. Moreover, the source backup job itself worked perfectly, including the affected VM.

NEW Veeam Availability Console – #1 Cloud Backup and DRaaS for Service Providers

Last year we announced Veeam Managed Backup Portal, exclusive to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. This enabled the delivery of remote monitoring and management to their customers' Veeam Backup & Replication environments. Veeam Managed Backup Portal came with zero connectivity requirements between the MSP and their customer, and minus having an Azure subscription, there were minimal upfront costs, making these new recurring revenue streams even more profitable.

Veeam in Cisco SolutionsPlus program and other big news from Cisco + Veeam alliance

I’m dusting off my cowboy boots and getting ready to head down to the Lone Star State (Texas) for Cisco’s annual partner summit in a couple weeks. The Cisco Partner Summit is their premier, invite-only partner event held annually for their top partner executives. This year’s theme is “OWN IT,” and as it rapidly approaches, I thought about how Veeam and Cisco is well on their way to OWN IT and enable their customers to do the same, together.

Plugging into vSphere 6.5 enhancements to increase Availability

It's been nearly a year since VMware released vSphere 6.5 which marked the 12th major release of VMware's hypervisor and hypervisor management product suite. And while VMware has been focusing on more recent products like vSAN and NSX, it shouldn't be forgotten that vSphere still remains at the core of the virtualization platform on top of which all other products are consumed. Veeam has a strong history of working with and supporting vSphere features, and the 6.5 release is no different.
