Purpose

This article documents how to adjust the retention of collected data stored within the Veeam ONE database.

Note: When retention is enforced, data within the database is removed, but the actual database file will not become smaller. To cause the Veeam ONE database file to become smaller on disk, a Shrink Database operation must be performed against the Veeam ONE database after retention is reduced.

Solution

The Retention Policy Period is configured within the Veeam ONE Settings Utility, which is accessible via the Veeam ONE Client.
( Settings > Server Settings > Other > Launch )

The Veeam ONE Settings Utility may also be launched directly from
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Veeam\Veeam ONE Settings\VeeamOneSettings.exe
