Verify that KB3033929 is installed by downloading and running the update. If the following message appears, proceed to the next section for information about bypassing the KB check.

Before creating the registry value on this article, ensure that KB3033929 is installed on the system. If KB3033929 is not installed and the Veeam CBT driver is installed by bypassing the check for KB3033929, the OS will likely fail to boot.
How to Disable KB Check and Install
After verifying that KB3033929 is installed, follow these steps to disable the KB check and proceed with installation/deployment.
Create the following registry value on the Server 2008 R2 SP1 machine where Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows is failing to install.
Key Location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Endpoint Backup\ Value Name: DisableCBTKBCheck Value Type: DWORD (32-Bit) Value Value Data: 1
If the Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows service is present, restart it.
