Challenge

A backup using the RMAN plug-in fails with the following error: 
ORA-19511: non RMAN, but media manager or vendor specific failure, error text:
Operation is terminated.

Cause

The failures can happen due to desynchronization between different threads started in different backup sessions that overlap.

Solution

All corner cases related to overlapping backup sessions are fixed in the version of 11.0.0.837 P20210507.
To download the updated Veeam Plug-in for Oracle RMAN, use the button on the bottom of the page and choose the package depending on OS and architecture version.
IMPORTANT
Before you install Veeam Plug-in for Oracle RMAN, make sure the current build number of Veeam Backup & Replication is 11.0.0.837 or higher: you may find the full list of cumulative patches in this KB (https://www.veeam.com/kb4126)
