Hotfix for Veeam Backup & Replication 11.0.1.1261 P20230227

The hotfix on this article has been rebuilt as of 2023-11-24 to be compatible only with Veeam Backup & Replication build 11.0.1.1261 P20230227.
(This is the second such rebuild; the last rebuild was on 2023-03-16.)

Note: If an older version of the hotfix on this article was installed before updating from 11.0.1.1261 P20220302 to 11.0.1.1261 P20230227, the rebuilt hotfix now available on this article must be reinstalled.

Veeam Backup & Replication 12 Supports Cloud Director 10.4 Natively
Please be aware that Veeam Backup & Replication 12 supports VMware Cloud Director 10.4.

Requirements

Before installing this hotfix to add support for VMware Cloud Director 10.4 to Veeam Backup & Replication, please confirm that you are running Veeam Backup & Replication 11a P20230227 (build 11.0.1.1261 P20230227). You can check the installed build number in the Veeam Backup & Replication Console's Main Menu (≡) under Help > About.

Resolved Issues

Resolved by Hotfix for Veeam Backup & Replication
  • Upon configuration of Cloud Connect Replication network extension appliance (NEA), Cloud Director of version 10.3.2 or higher removes the appliance management network interface, making  tenant failover operations impossible.
  • Usage of Cloud Director 10.4 results in backup and replication jobs failing with: 
    VMware Cloud Director server does not support SDK of the following versions.

 

Resolved by Patch for Veeam Plug-In for VMware vCloud Director
  • Cloud Director 10.4 breaks Veeam Plug-in for VMware vCloud Director.

Deployment Information

Service Providers using Cloud Connect Replication must redeploy Network Extension Appliances after patch installation. 
Hotfix for Veeam Backup & Replication
  1. Verify that Veeam Backup & Replication is running build 11.0.1.1261 P20230227.
  2. Ensure no active tasks are occurring.
  3. Close Veeam Backup & Replication Console
  4. Execute the Hotfix Installer on the Veeam Backup Server
Patch for Veeam Plug-in for VMware vCloud Director
  1. Upload the Patch plugin.zip as documented in the User Guide: Uploading and Configuring Plug-in
