Release Information for Veeam Backup for AWS 8 Patch 1

Please confirm that you are running version Veeam Backup for AWS v8 (build 8.0.0.845) or later before upgrading. You can find the currently installed build number (Product version) in the About section under Configuration | Support Information | Updates. After installing Veeam Backup for AWS v8 patch 1, your build number will be 8.1.0.7.

• When a KMS key policy contains any conditions, backup and restore operations for instances encrypted using this key may fail due to insufficient permissions.

Backup

• If backups are enabled in the backup policy settings, but only snapshots are configured in the daily schedule, backup operations fail with the error:

  Sequence contains no elements
  

Restore

• Restore of Aurora RDS clusters created using CloudFormation templates fails with the error:

  Tag keys cannot start with the reserved prefix ‘aws:’
  

To install updates, install the latest Veeam Backup & Replication version that includes the updated plug-in, or manually upgrade the plug-in to version 12.8.1.8. Then, update the appliances as described in the section Updating Appliances Using Console of the Veeam Backup for AWS User Guide.

Alternatively, follow the instructions in the section Installing Updates of the Veeam Backup for AWS User Guide.

After installing the patch, your build version will be 8.1.0.7.
