If a backed-up SharePoint subsite is moved between repositories using the Move-VBOEntityData cmdlet, or removed from a repository using the Remove-VBOEntityData cmdlet, the metadata for the entire parent root site hierarchy may be unintentionally removed. This can result in missing historical restore points for related backed-up subsites, although the site content itself remains available in the repositories.
This issue occurs only under the following conditions:
Move-VBOEntityData PowerShell cmdlet, or a subsite is removed from either a Jet-based or object storage repository using the Remove-VBOEntityData PowerShell cmdlet. The issue can occur in any version of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.
