Article Applicability

This article is specifically regarding the Veeam Appliances used in conjunction with Veeam Backup & Replication 13. Including the Veeam Software Appliance, Veeam Infrastructure Appliance, and Veeam Hardened Repository deployed from the Veeam Infrastructure Appliance.

For information about manually updating the GPG key on the legacy Veeam Hardened Repository Appliance v2, which is used with Veeam Backup & Replication 12, review KB4833.

Challenge

This article documents how to manually update the GPG key for Veeam Appliances (i.e., Veeam Software Appliance, Veeam Infrastructure Appliance, and Veeam Hardened Repository deployed from the Veeam Infrastructure Appliance).

Generally, the new key should automatically be distributed to all appliances that have access to the Veeam repository. However, if an appliance does not have access to the repository (either directly, via a mirror, or via http_proxy), the GPG key will not be updated. After the installed GPG expires, that appliance will be unable to connect to the update repository.

On March 15, 2026, the GPG key used to sign the Veeam RPM packages expired.

Solution

  1. Download the GPG key private fix zip using the bottom below.
  2. Within the privatefix zip file are two bndl files:
    • bundle-1266150-1558103.bndl — For Veeam Software Appliance and Veeam Infrastructure Appliance.
    • bundle-1266150-1558102.bndl — For Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager Appliance.
  3. Install the private fix bndl file using the Veeam Host Management Console.
