How to get a Support ID

Challenge

When opening a case via the Customer Support Portal, you are prompted to enter a Support ID:

Finding Support ID using Veeam Backup and Replication UI.
Please open your Veeam console and go to the License menu:

You will see your Support ID:

Finding Support ID using Veeam Agent for Linux

Once you apply a license to VAL installation, its content is copied to /usr/share/veeam/license.lic on the machine. Open this file as a text file to find your SupportID.
 

More Information

Starting with Veeam Backup & Replication version 8, all licenses contain a support ID.  If your current license does not show a Support ID, you can download an updated license file from our customer portal that will contain it.

Please be aware that starting from September 2018 downloading updates will require an active contract for the corresponding product.
