Veeam licensing for all products is described here: http://veeam.com/faq.html
The licenses may be viewed in the customer portal by navigating to: https://my.veeam.com/#/licenses/production.
The license files may be download by logging in to my.veeam.com. Once logged in, select ‘Production Licenses’ > ‘License Management’. Then, on far right select ‘Get license key' next to the license needed. Next, select the version of the license file needed. Finaly, select ‘Download’.
Note: The license file may only be downloaded by the License Administrator. If the actions above are performed by a non-License Administrator at the final step there will be no "Download" option but instead an option to ‘send via email’ which will send the license to the license administrator’s email address.
To download Veeam products for trial license, go to https://www.veeam.com/downloads.html. The trial license key is sent to you in email after registering. The trial license is valid for 30 days from the moment of registration.
To obtain a full license key for the desired number of sockets, refer to http://www.veeam.com/buy-end-user.html. The full license includes a one-year maintenance plan.
If you have difficulties retrieving your license file, go to My Account, and open a "Licensing" case to receive assistance from Veeam licensing.
Note: The following applies only to license files for versions prior to 9.x. Starting with v10 all licenses contain no "Version=" string.
To check check what version your license key is for, open the *.lic file in Notepad/Word and locate the section listed as "Version"
For example if your "Version" is listed as 9.x you are able to install any patch for Veeam Backup and Replication 9.0 or Veeam Backup and Replication 9.5
